Local police are investigating a break in at a home in North Rome that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to Rome police reports:

A Reynolds Street resident told investigating officers she had been away from her home for about three hours Sunday afternoon, and when she returned home around 6:30 p.m., she discovered that the front door had been kicked in.

A cell phone, a pair of 14 karat gold earrings, $47 in coins and a bowl were taken.

At this point, police do not have any suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
