RFPRA Spring Baseball – Registration Opens Monday

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is registering for Spring Baseball and T-ball starting Monday, February 6. Age divisions are: 4-5 (Co-ed T-ball), 5-6, 7-8 (coach pitch), 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 (player pitch). The player age control date is prior to May 1, 2012. The registration fee is $71 (t-ball) and $82 (baseball). Register online at rfpra.com or at the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority at 1 Shorter Avenue by March 9. RFPRA Spring Baseball Select League – NEW! – Opens Monday

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is registering teams for Spring Select League Baseball starting Monday, February 6. Select League Baseball is a competitive league to include both travel and middle school teams and is open to teams with players in 6th, 7th and 8th grade or who meet the age control date prior to May 1, 2012. The team registration fee is $1,000 for a guaranteed 12 game season. Register your team at the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority at 1 Shorter Avenue by March 9. RFPRA Girls Spring Softball – Registration Opens Tuesday

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is registering for Spring Girls Fast-Pitch Softball starting Tuesday, February 7. Age divisions are: 7-8 (machine pitch), 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 (player pitch). The player age control date is prior to January 1, 2012. The registration fee is $82. RFPRA Girls Middle School Volleyball League– Registration Opens Soon

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is registering for Girls Middle-School Volleyball League starting Monday, February 13. Registration is open to Middle School teams. The team registration fee is $300. Register at the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority at 1 Shorter Avenue by March 9. The season will run from April 3 to May 3. RFPRA Tennis Classes – Registration is Now Open

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is now registering for Tennis Classes open to beginner and intermediate players. Classes are $60 for 1 hour classes and $30 for ½ hour toddler sessions. Classes are offered for ages 3 through adult. Monday classes start February 20 and Thursday classes start February 23. RFPRA Pre-school “Kick-Start” Soccer – Registration is Now Open

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is now registering for Kick-Start Soccer. Kick-Start Soccer is open to ages 3-6. Parent participation is encouraged for ages 3-4. The instructional soccer program teaches the basics of the sport including dribbling, passing and shooting. Choose a program time: Tuesday at 4:30 or 5:45. Kick-Start Soccer will be held April 3 – May 8 at North Floyd Park Soccer Fields. Registration is $45 and includes a T-shirt and size 3 soccer ball. RFPRA Eagle Junior Golf – Registration is Now Open

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is now registering for Eagle Junior Golf where kids learn age appropriate lessons following the PGA curriculum. Ages 3-6 meet Thursdays at 5:30 and ages 7-13 meet at 6:30. Lessons run from March 15- April 19 at the Thornton Center. Registration is $72.
