D.J. Ware already has one Super Bowl ring, but he may be sporting a new one after today.

Ware, who went by “Danny” during his prep career at Rockmart High, and the New York Giants will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Ware was a member of the 2008 championship team.

Ware has played in 16 games for the Giants this season, the latest being a 20-17 win against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game.

The running back has compiled 167 rushing yards, with a longest of 17 yards, on 49 carries including postseason action. He also has 28 receptions for 183 yards.

At Rockmart, Ware was named to the RN-T All-Area team several times. He went on to play at UGA after one season at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va.

The Giants and the Pats are set to kick off at 6:30 p.m.
