Rome man charged with obstruction, loitering, disorderly conduct

A Rome man was arrested and charged with one felony count of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, misdemeanor counts of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, loitering or prowling and disorderly conduct on Tuesday, according to a Floyd County Police report.

According to the report:

Jeffery Alfred Shedrick, 23, of 316 Wilson Ave., was charged after he was allegedly knocking on doors in Rosemont Park. After being told to stop, he attempted to run away from police. He turned around and yelled obscenities and tried to escape arrest. At the jail he kicked at officers and threatened to hurt them.

He remained in jail Tuesday night pending a $2,700 bond.
