LETTER TO THE EDITOR: SPLOST extension vital to taxpayers

I TOOK advantage of the early voting opportunity and voted to extend the current Special Purpose, Local Option Sales Tax. This county and its cities need that money to continue providing the many great services we enjoy.

If they cannot get the SPLOST extension passed, they will have to rise property taxes and the fees they charge for services — there is no other way to raise that revenue.

A “yes” vote on the SPLOST extension will keep the standard of services we are so used to.
