Mr. and Mrs. E. Calvin Hicks of Rome, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Joy to Zachary Kelley Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Williams of Rome.

Miss Hicks is a 2007 graduate of Model High School and will graduate from Shorter University in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She is the sister of Karlee Hicks of Rome and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Mathis of Yukon, Okla., as well as Opal Hicks of Rome and the late John C. Hicks.

Mr. Williams is a 2002 graduate of Model High School, holds two degrees from Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Computer Technology and is employed by Liberty National Life Insurance Co. He is the grandson of Linda Campbell Holder of Cedartown, Gene Williams of Armuchee, the late George Holder the late Lura Kelley Williams.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Havenshire House at Belle Terra Estate in Rome.
