The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franklin Agan Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Agan and Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Sprayberry all of Rome.
The groom is the son of Randy Dobbs Sr. of Rome and Lydia Ramirez of Chattanooga. He is the grandson of Hubert Dobbs of Centre, Ala., the late Essie Dobbs and the late James and Mamie Poteet.
The Rev. Dale Byars performed the double ring ceremony.
Ivory ribbons were placed on each side of the front railing of the double aisle. The family pews were decorated with ivory tulle bows. A program of wedding music was provided by Janice Moon. Selections included “Clair-De-Lune,” “Canon in D” and the “Bridal Chorus.”
Rebecca Agan, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Savannah Dobbs, sister-in-law of the groom was a bridesmaid. They each wore formal length satin gowns in apple red and carried bouquets of ivory roses.
Kaylin Dobbs, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. She wore an ivory dress with a red sash adorned with a red flower. Red rose petals were sewn into the hem of the dress.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a delicate floral lace and tulle gown in ivory featuring a lace bodice with cap sleeves, sweetheart neckline and a keyhole back that flowed into a floral-strewn trumpet-shaped skirt, extending into a chapel-length train. An empire sash of ivory satin was embellished with crystals and pearls.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with a black tie and vest. His boutonniere was a red rose. Randy Dobbs Jr., brother of the groom was the best man. Randall Barnett was a groomsman.
Robert Blaylock and Kristopher Easterwood, cousins of the bride were the ushers.
The mother of the bride chose a knee length taupe colored dress with a lace overlay.
The mother of the groom wore a navy blue knee length dress and a navy blue wrap.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held in the Family Life Center of the church. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tier yellow and red velvet cake with white fondant and white lace piping. The groom’s cake was in the shape of a Dallas Cowboys’ star was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
The evening before the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party.
Other pre-nuptial parties included a lingerie shower hosted by Tammy Perry, Debra Locklear and Tammy Walters, friends of the family, at the home of Tammy Walters. A miscellaneous bridal shower was hosted by Carolyn Sprayberry, grandmother of the bride, Billie Sue Williams, cousin of the bride and Rebecca Agan, sister of the bride, at Pisgah Baptist Church.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Rome.
