Colette Reynolds Mosley is expanding the operation at her My Tiers of Joy Cakery Bakery, 1501 N. Broad St.

Since opening, Mosley has been open on a call-in or appointment basis only; however now, Mosley will have regular walk-in hours Wednesday through Saturday each week.

The bakery will feature cookies, cupcakes and cakes for the walk-in clients from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. “We’re not going to do early yet. We were going to do doughnuts but I still can’t find a product that I like,” Mosley said. “Our summer hours will be a little different.”

Mosley will also be doing event catering and will offer a wide variety of birthday and wedding cakes.

Mosley was operating the bakery primarily at night while working a full-time position affiliated with the Rome Floyd Commission on Children and Youth. She realized the grant, which funded her job, would run out at some point and that occurred in October of 2011.

It’s taken a little longer than Mosley expected to settle in on regular hours at her bakery. “Now we’re ready to do it, it’s time,” Mosley said.
