Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morgan of Cedar Bluff, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Danielle Morgan, to Samuel Carl Hammond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Hammond and Mr. and Mrs. David Hodges, all of Rome.

Miss Morgan is the sister of Tom Wolfe of Ohatchee, Ala., Angel Simms of Cave Spring, Robert Morgan of Cartersville and Carrie Tucker of Cartersville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Morgan of Rome and the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Tipton.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Coosa High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Berry College in 2011. She is employed by Rome City Schools.

Hammond is the brother of Andrew Lane of Jacksonville, Ala., Sarah Lane of Rome and William Hodges of Rome. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Hardin of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Turner of Canton, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Hodges of Cave Spring, Lou Nell Holcomb of Centre, Ala., the late James Holcomb and the late James Hammond.

The groom-elect graduated from Coosa High School in 2008. He graduated cum laude in 2012 from Kennesaw State University with his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management. He is employed as a manager of the Target Corporation.

A wedding ceremony is planned for June 2, 2012, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Invitations have been sent.
