Berry College’s Green Team has worked, for the third year in a row, with Habitat for Humanity of Rome-Floyd County, More Space Storage Solutions and the Hospitality House for Women to collect old items that students don’t want to leave in their dorms and don’t want to throw away. Items like desks and lamps are collected and then re-sold for the nonprofit charities. Pictured are Berry College’s Sarah Stalvey (from left); Louise Schroeder Branham of Habitat for Humanity; Dennis Goshorn, Matthew McCarthy and Lindsey Taylor, all from Berry; Jessica Peek, Tobie Peek and Kellee Garner, all from More Space; Vicki Butler from the Hospitality House; and ReRe, the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center mascot.
