Naranjo said the main thing that his customers will notice is a more open layout with easier flow for both customers and the wait staff. He said that the restaurant would seat ap-proximately 150.
Naranjo blamed the delay in re-opening the restaurant on a variety of factors included some serious illness in the fam-ily. The renovation work passed all of its building inspections early last week.
It’s the first major renovation at El Zarape since the popu-lar restaurant opened in 1982. Naranjo and his wife Her-melinda Naranjo have operated the business since 1987.
The menu has also been tweaked somewhat as part of the change.
The business is actually owned by Felipe Mata.
