The Reverend Raymond Weaver performed the double ring ceremony.

Columns filled with ivory roses and white hydrangea set the background on the stage, which overlooked the Atlanta skyline, for the ceremony. The altar also featured a unity candle with sapphire satin ribbon. Family pews were marked with a small bouquet of ivory roses and ivory ribbon.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Beaver.  Selections included “Marry Me,” “Wonderful Tonight”, “God Gave Me You,” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”

Jessica Kasey of Louisville, Ky., was the maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Brennan Williams, step-sister of the bride, of Cartersville, Kylee Rutledge of Alpharetta, Trish Keszler of Lawrenceville, Kathy Shelton, sister of the groom, of Prattville, Ala., Christine Burnham of Kennesaw and Janie Henderson of Acworth. Attendants wore black satin, one-shoulder dresses with a ruche empire waist.  The bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of ivory roses.

The flower girls were Lauren McKenzie Thacker of Prattville, Ala., daughter of the groom, and Annafrench Lee Sharp of Smyrna, cousin of the bride. The flower girls wore ivory satin spaghetti strap dresses with sapphire ribbon at the waist.

The ring bearers were Charles Presley Sharp and James Presley Sharp of Smyrna, cousins of the bride. Annafrench tossed rose petals down the aisle. Charles carried the wedding rings on a feather and satin pillow.  McKenzie and James carried a “Here Comes the Bride” sign to announce the arrival of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, chose a soft white strapless formal gown. The fitted, beaded lace gown featured a feathery tulle skirt. The bride wore an ivory veil with a feather pouf headpiece adorned with pearl sprays.  The bride chose a bouquet of ivory roses adorned with pearl brooches and a beaded pearl handle.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Vinings Club in Atlanta.

A formal dinner included the bride’s three-tiered white butter cream frosted cake with cream cheese filling. A rose design covered the cake and the top tier displayed the couple’s initials.  The groom’s cake was a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and cream cheese fudge icing, topped with chocolate dipped strawberries.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s father hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Courtyard by Marriott in Atlanta.  Other pre-nuptial parties included an engagement celebration hosted by Kathy Green, Lane Frost and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Sharp, at the home of Paige Sharp Bennett; a couple’s shower hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Larry Barnes at their home; a couple’s shower hosted by Brad and Kathy Shelton at their home; a bachelorette party hosted by the bridesmaids:  a bachelor party hosted by the groomsmen; and a luncheon hosted by the bride’s employer.
