SUNDAY’S GAME RECAP

Final: Asheville 7, Rome 5

The turning point: The Braves were leading 5-3 until the the Tourists scored four runs in the top of the ninth to put the game away.

Who did what for Rome: Elmer Reyes was 2-for-4 for the Braves with a double and a home run. William Beckwith was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Tony Mueller was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

On the mound: Navery Moore pitched the first six innings of the game, giving up three runs and striking out three. Ryne Harper (0-2) took the loss. He pitched 1 1-3 inning, and gave up five hits and four runs.

Game notes: The Braves are on a three-game losing streak.

Next Game: The Braves next head out on the road for a seven-game road trip. The trip starts with a four-game series against Kannapolis. The first game is today at 4:05 p.m.
