Search for murder suspect continues

DALTON — Authorities were still searching Monday for Adolf Ray “Sonny” Neal, who is a suspect in the Thursday morning murder of his wife and her grandfather, said Capt. Rick Swiney with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.

“We’ll look until we find him,” Swiney said. “There’s several places we’re checking.”

The cause of death of Jessica Neal, 27, and Don William Shedd, 69, of 1200 Green Springs Road, in the Dawnville community, is still not being released, Swiney said Sunday.

“It was a very violent death,” Swiney said.
