Floyd County gets nearly an inch of rain, sunny and hot today

It's likely to be a scorcher today after thunderstorms dropped .93 inches of rain on Floyd County last night, according to the rain gauge at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. According to the National Weather Service, today's high will reach near 93 and the low will drop to around 59 tonight.
