The Calhoun Police Department has captured 28-year-old Nathan Allyn Odell, a fugitive from Connecticut, according to CPD Chief Garry Moss.

According to the CPD report, the Connecticut State Police contacted the CPD on Friday, stating they had reason to believe a suspect in a sexual assault investigation had fled Connecticut in an attempt to avoid prosecution and could be living in Calhoun.

CPD detectives tracked down the suspect and discovered he was in fact living in Calhoun.

On Tuesday at about 9:30 a.m., CPD officers entered the residence of 86 Third St. and arrested Odell without incident. Odell remains in the Gordon County Jail, pending extradition back to Connecticut, where he will face charges of sexual assault, possession of child pornography, risk of injury and impairing the morals of a child, according to the CPD.
