Police arrested and charged two Rome women Thursday afternoon for attempting to steal items from Dollar General located at 25 Central Plaza, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Breana Antoinette Haywood, 17, of 14 Flora Ave., and Kendrica Latisha Seals, 18, of 72 Bollen Court, were each arrested and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting. Seals faces an additional charge of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers.

Seals allegedly selected and concealed several items in her purse while Haywood watched for employees.

When an employee confronted Seals about the merchandise in her purse, she dumped the items onto the floor and ran away, ignoring officers’ orders to stop.

Both remained in jail Thursday night without bonds.
