Final: Legends 8, Braves 2 (in Lexington)

The turning point:

The Legends scored three runs in the first

inning, and maintained the lead the rest of the way. They added two insurance runs in the eighth and two more in the ninth to send the Braves to their eighth loss in the past nine games.

Who did what for Rome: Six players supplied one hit each for the Braves, with Fernando De Los

Santos and Kyle Kubitza driving in one run each.

On the mound: Rome starter Greg Ross (0-4)allowed four runs on six hits — including three homers — in five innings. He walked three batters with no strikeouts.

Game notes: Clutch

hitting was once again elusive for the Braves, who went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring

position.

Next Game: The Braves and Legends wrap up the series today at 1:35 p.m.
