A tractor-trailer overturned on US 27 at Hwy 140 at approximately 10 a.m. this morning, blocking both northbound lanes.

The tractor-trailer was being driven west at the yield sign at Hwy. 140 when it attempted to turn north into the center lane to avoid an oncoming vehicle traveling north, according to Tfc. Stan Smith of the Georgia State Patrol.

The tractor-trailer gained too much speed and tipped onto its driver’s side. The driver was uninjured in the wreck.
