It appears Chipper Jones’ Farewell Tour will include a stop in Rome.

The Atlanta Braves six-time All-Star — who is retiring after this season — said on Thursday that he will make a rehab assignment with the Rome Braves this weekend. He will likely play Saturday and Sunday at SMS.

Jones, who is on the disabled list while recovering from knee surgery, made those comments while being interviewed during the Braves’ game against the Marlins.

Rome team officials said on Thursday night they had not yet been contacted by the Atlanta club regarding Jones’ rehab assignment.

Jones has made three previous rehab stints with the Rome club — in 2004, 2005 and 2011.

For tickets to this weekend’s games at SMS, call the ticket office at 706-368-9388 or go online to romebraves.com.
