A Rome man was arrested and charged Friday after he allegedly raised his voice in Redmond Regional Medical Center, “carrying on about meaningless things,” and boasted about how he was “the best car driver ever” and yelled at officers who told him to be quiet, using profanity, according to Floyd County Jail and Rome police reports.

According to the reports:

John Cecil Worthy, 70, of 515 Brown St., was charged with disorderly conduct.

He was released from jail on a $540 bond.
