Rome teenager charged with trespassing, theft of scrap metal

A Rome teenager remained in jail Tuesday night after he allegedly went onto the property of a Calhoun Road residence and took various scrap metal items with the attempt to deprive the owner, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Matthew Christian Wright, 17, of 45B Northridge Drive, was charged with misdemeanors criminal trespass and theft by taking.

He was being held on a $1,350 bond for his theft by taking charge late Tuesday.
