When it opened, the Georgia State Junior Closed Challenger tournament featured an enormous collection of players.

Now, it’s been reduced to a small-group gathering.

In the winner’s bracket, at least.

The tournament, which opened last week and continues through Thursday, has been pared down to just the “final four” in several divisions following Tuesday’s action.

In the boys-18 division, Austin Emmet, Kyle Hartfield, Daniel Pare and Christopher Eubanks each posted wins in the quarterfinals, along with Gordon Li, Lincoln Metz, Galen Lee and David Brown in the boys-16.

Winners in the boys-14 included Jackson Wood, Jayman Jhattu, Hunter Hatsavongsa and Jake Beasley. In the boys-12, Suhas Krishnan and Casey Markulike posted wins in the semifinals.

In the boys-10 division, Jordan Bruck captured the title.

In the girls-18 quarterfinals, the winners were: Brittany Nuttall, Sarah Hubbard, Alex Kaeser and Kristen Jones.

The girls-16 winners were Nicole Johnston, Sarah Zschunke, Samantha Armas and Caroline Hall.

In the girls-10 division, Anna Barkley won the championship.
