Mr. and Mrs. David Bruce Hunter of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Dailey Hunter to Robert Franklin Dewling III, of Atlanta. The groom is the son of Dr. Karen and Robert Franklin Dewling II of Johns Creek.

Miss Hunter is a 2006 graduate of Rome High School. She debuted with the Rome Symphony Orchestra in 2007. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010 where she was inducted into the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is currently pursuing a Master of Taxation degree from Georgia State University. Miss Hunter is employed at Smith and Howard, PC in Atlanta, as a Certified Public Accountant.

The bride-elect is the sister of Patrick Christopher Hunter of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Harold Frierson Hunter of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clyde Herron of Atlanta, GA, and the late Harold Frierson Hunter.

Dewling is a 2007 graduate of Northview High School in Johns Creek. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering 2011 from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He is employed by Manhattan Associates in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the brother of Madalyn Marie Dewling of Johns Creek. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Franklin Dewling Sr. of Ellicott City, Md., and Dr. and Mrs. David Andrew Blake of Big Canoe.

A wedding ceremony is planned for December 15, 2012 in Rome. Invitations will be sent.
