Woman charged with shoplifting meat

A Rome woman was arrested for allegedly stealing several cases of meat from Walmart at 825 Cartersville Highway on Friday afternoon, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Dana Jean Diamond, 25, of 3189 Martha Berry Highway, allegedly walked past registers with the assorted meat valued at $18.72 without paying. She was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.

She remained in jail Friday night.
