A 2-vehicle wreck that occurred early Saturday afternoon at the intersection of John Maddox Drive and Redmond Road sent both drivers to the hospital with visible injuries, according to Rome Pfc. Josh Kerce.

According to the officer:

Karen Bradshaw of Rome was driving a 2005 black Honda Element eastbound on Redmond Road when she ran a red light at John Maddox Drive.

She struck a 2002 black Ford F-150 truck driven by Gary Burchett of Rome on its driver's side. Burchett was traveling northbound on John Maddox Drive.

Burchett required extraction from his truck by the Rome Floyd Fire Department. Bradshaw was cited for running a red light.
