History Week comes to Cave Spring the week of July 2 – 8 with activities taking place across town.

From noon to 3 p.m. each day, visitors can stop by the Log Cabin site and the Welcome Center Museum to view Indian artifacts and the Fairview School exhibit, listen to oral history interviews with past and present Cave Spring residents at the Cave Spring Library or enjoy the historic buildings in Rolater Park.

Maps will be provided for walking or driving tours.

On July 3 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the cave in Rolater Park, Rome author Mike Ragland will be speaking about and signing copies of his books “Bertha” and “The Courage Wolf.”

There will also be a fireworks show on July 3 starting at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks show will take place beside the old fire hall on Georgia Avenue and will be visible from Rolater Park as well as other locations throughout Cave Spring. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

The annual Fourth of July parade begins at 9 a.m. on July 4.

Admission to some locations is by donation. All donations will benefit the Cave Spring Cabin restoration project.
