Mr. and Mrs. John Hardin of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Betsy Ann Hardin, to Ronald Alan Hutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hutson of Palmdale, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jaskolowski of Alamogordo, NM.

Miss Hardin is the sister of Wesley Hardin of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Sara Hardin of Rome. She is the granddaughter of LonNelle Forkner of LaFayette and the late Lawrence Forkner, Helen Gentry, and Bobby Hardin.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Coosa High School. She graduated cum laude in 2010 from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University.

Hutson is the brother of Karisa Contreras of Pensacola, Fla., Randy Jaskolowski, Justin Power, Stephen Power, and Harmoni Jaskolowski, of Alamogordo, N.M., and Erica Hutson of Palmdale, Calif. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Derry of San Antonio, Texas, Fay Hutson of Henderson, Nev., and the late Ronald Hutson.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Artesia High School in Artesia, N.M. He serves in the United States Air Force as a member of the Eglin AFB Honor Guard in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

A wedding ceremony is planned for July 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Frost Chapel, Mount Berry. A reception will follow at Mt. Alto Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend.
