Rome man allegedly grabbed woman by throat

A Rome man was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a woman by her throat and wrist during a verbal dispute and reportedly slapped her as she was calling 911 at his home, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Bruce Allen Johnson, 21, of 905 Darlington Way was charged Sunday with misdemeanor simple assault under the Family Violence Act.
