In this role Dr. Ramirez will advise and teach students in Floyd’s three-year residency program. He also will see patients at the Family Medicine Residency Clinic.
Prior to joining Floyd, Dr. Ramirez worked in a private medical practice in Carlisle, Pa., and as a hospitalist at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. In addition, he served as a preceptor for third year medical residents of Penn State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Ramirez received his medical doctorate from MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pa. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Emory University, Atlanta. He served his medical residency at York Hospital Family Practice Residency, York, Pa., and at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is active in the United States Tennis Association. He and his wife, Melissa, live in Rome with their son, Alexander.
