Rome Braves rally past Kannapolis

The turning point:

Down 6-0, the Braves put up three runs in the fifth and sixth innings then scored five in the seventh to pull ahead of Kannapolis for the win.

Who did what for Rome:

Tony Mueller was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Kyle Kubuitza was 2-for-5 with a run scored. Will Skinner was 2-for-5 with an RBI. William Beckwith was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Brandon Drury was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Elmer Reyes was 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs.

On the mound: David Filak pitched the first five innings of the game, but Ian Thomas earned the win. He pitched two innings, gave up four hits, two runs and struck out three.

Next Game: The Braves continue their series against Kannapolis tonight at 7 p.m.
