The turning point: Trailing 1-0 early, the Braves put four runs on the board in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead.

Who did what for Rome: Robby Hefflinger had two hits with a home run, and he finished with six RBIs. Kyle Kubitza had a solo home run, Chase Anselment also went yard, and Elmer Reyes went 3-for-4 finishing a home run shy of hitting for the cycle.

On the mound: David Filak got the win (4-7) even after allowing five runs in five innings. David Stran, Atlanta’s seventh-round pick this season out of Kent State, made his pro debut. Stran threw two shutout innings while striking out two and allowing one hit.

Game notes: Rome racked up 14 hits. The Braves (11-3) hold a two-game lead on first place in the South.
