Woman charged with burning 2-year-old child with scalding water

A Rome woman turned herself in early Monday morning after learning that warrants had been taken or her arrest on felony a cruelty to children charge.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Allison Corey Turner, 24, 113 East 14th Street was picked up around 5:40 a.m. Monday after learning that a felony war-rant had been issued against her.

Turner is accused of submersing a two-year-old child into scalding hot water back on June 21, causing multiple burn injuries all over the child’s body.
