“Flora and Fauna” is the summer exhibit at the Rockmart Civic Arts Commission and opens Friday.

The 96-piece exhibit features the work of area artists including Bruce Bell, Teresa Brumbelow, Steven Cline, Paul Craighead, Angela Cochran, Danny Collins, Donna Duff, Micah Easom, Pat Gore, Nancy Hall, James Hill, Tasha Holden, Leigh Hulsey, Regina Justice, Danny Kay, Dot Langley, Casi Link, Justin Long, Carla Redding, Charlie Rexroad, Laura Robnson, Rose-Marie Scheel, Joey Seale, Christy Sisneros, Terumi Todd, Kathy Torres, Nicki Upton and Horton Young.

The pieces vary in media and include photography, oil paintings, pastels, graphite, pencil, scratchboard, stained glass, acrylic, diptych, colored pencil, water color, fabric and reclaimed ivory.

An artists’ opening reception takes place Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Rockmart Civic Arts Commission, 316 North Piedmont Ave. The reception is open to the public and refreshments will be served.

The Visual Arts Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
