The turning point:
The Braves led 2-0 after four innings, but the
Tourists finally figured out Rome starter Ryan
Weber in the fifth, when they scored four runs off the righty to take a
4-2 lead. Asheville later added four insurance runs to win the series opener.
Who did what for Rome: Second baseman Ross Heffley was the only Brave to have multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a triple. Kyle Kubitza and Robby Hefflinger each drove in a run.
On the mound: Weber (5-5) pitched six
innings, allowing five runs on nine hits.
Game notes: The Braves have lost three straight, and are now in a three-way tie for first with Charleston and Asheville.
