The bride is the daughter of Dr. Barney “Jay” and Pamela Rickman of Valdosta. The groom is the son of Dr. Mike and Karen Adams of Rome.
Father Llane Briese of St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell officiated, assisted by Deacon Stuart Neslin of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Rome and Deacon David Lasseter of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Valdosta.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Ann Hilgert of the bride’s parish provided accompaniment on the organ and piano, while Karen Betz of the groom’s parish served as cantor. Readers for the Scriptures were Dr. Charles Betz of the groom’s parish and Daniel Hoffman of the bride’s parish. John Rivera of St. John, Valdosta, was altar server.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and chapel-length train, which was embellished
with floral-patterned sequins, beading, and lace. She carried a bouquet of red rose buds. Her shoulder-length veil, handed down from her mother’s wedding, was worn with a flower-embellished hair-comb. Her jewelry was borrowed from her mother and her maternal grandmother.
Rachel DiPietro of Norcross was the maid of honor. Other bridesmaids included Lindsey Adams, the groom’s sister, of Rome; Sara Collins of Atlanta; Dylan Middleton of Kennesaw; and Lauren Saunders of Roswell. Groomsmen included Sam Andereck of Germantown, Tenn.; Jesse Jordan of Centre, Ala.; Jordan Rickman, of Valdosta, the bride’s brother; Daniel Tibbits, of Cummings and the best man Mitchell Hutts of Roswell. The groom’s brothers, Chandler Adams and Michael Adams served as additional ushers.
A dinner reception at the Spruill Ballroom in the Krannert Center at Berry College followed the ceremony.
The couple will delay a honeymoon trip until a later time.
