Miss Taylor attended West Rome High School and Rome High. She is employed at the East Rome Wal-Mart. She is also a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Charles Randolph Taylor and the late Lenora Dozier Riley, the granddaughter of the late Abraham and Nadine Dozier and the late Randolph and Georgia Taylor.
Miss Taylor is the mother of Christian Whatley of Rome. She is the sister of Lt. Colonel Melissa Riley Maxwell, US Army Pentagon, Washington, DC, Marquita Riley Atkins, Luther Riley, Damon Riley, Ralph Tyree Clark, all of Rome, Delmar Riley of New York, and the late Charles Creamer.
Askew is a graduate of Rome High School. He is employed at Watters & Associates.
The groom-to-be is the son of Lorenzo and Angela Askew, the brother of Tara Askew and Calvin Askew, all of Rome, the grandson of Lamar Ammons and the late Grace Long, the late Charles Askew, the late Susie Askew, and the late Etna Cox Askew.
The wedding ceremony is planned for August 4, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the Rome Civic Center. Formal invitations will be sent.
