Mavrakos will provide outpatient physical therapy services to orthopedic patients at Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab. He will also provide on-site sports medicine services for Rome High School athletics.
Prior to joining Floyd, Mavrakos worked for 17 years with orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians and pain management specialists in Mobile, Ala.
Mavrakos earned his master’s degree in Physical Therapy and his bachelor’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopedic, Health Policy and Administration and Sports Physical Therapy sections. He also is a member of the Alabama and Georgia Physical Therapy Associations.
He lives in Rome with his wife and 3 children.
