Rome man charged with forgery

Police said a Rome man wrote a check on someone else’s account at a Calhoun Road store, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Tim Michael Ray, 40, of 48050 Calhoun Road, wrote the check on May 14 at the North Ridge Stop and Shop. The report did not list the amount of the check.

Ray remained in jail on Friday night, July 27, charged with first-degree forgery.
