The turning point:

Trailing 7-4, the Braves plated six runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 9-7 lead. The Braves got into trouble in the ninth, but were able to hold on for the win.

Who did what for Rome: William Beckwith had four RBIs and Ross Heffley went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Kyle Kubitza and Will Skinner each drove in one run.

On the mound: David Ross got the start and gave up four runs on nine hits in five innings. Ronan Pacheco earned his third win of the season despite giving up three runs in two innings. David Peterson closed out the game to earn his fifth save.

Game notes: The Braves (22-14) hold a 2 1/2 game lead over Augusta for first place in the Southern division.
