Roman hospitalized after wreck on Shorter Avenue

A Rome man was in satisfactory condition at Floyd Medical Center on Sunday, July 29, after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car pulling out of West Rome Food Mart on Shorter Avenue.

According to Rome police reports:

Dalton R. Clay, 24, of Rome was heading west on his motorcycle around 11:25 a.m. Saturday when a vehicle driven by James E. Turner of a Drummond Drive address pulled out on the highway and struck the motorcycle.

Turner was charged with failure to yield.
