Steve and Susan Montgomery of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Taryn Blaike Montgomery, to David Kevin Gurley, son of David and Sandra Gurley of Armuchee.

Miss Montgomery is a 2006 graduate of Armuchee High School and a 2011 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is employed by Floyd Medical Center, where she works as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Care Center.  She is the granddaughter of Curtis and Carolyn Maxwell of Cedartown, as well as Ruby Montgomery and the late Albert Montgomery of Montgomery, Ala.

Gurley is a 2004 graduate of Armuchee High School. He is the owner of Kevin Gurley Incorporated. He is the brother of Amanda Bennett of Rome. He is the grandson of Mildred and Harlan Worthington of Rome, the late Donald Gurley, as well as the late J.C. and Virginia Peek.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 15, 2012 at Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart. Invitations will be sent.
