Golf: Locals compete in Georgia Open

Ethan Lambert leads the local players after the opening round of the Georgia Open golf tournament at The Legends at Chateau Elan.

Lambert shot a 2-over 74 in the first round, and is tied for 31st.

Romans Taylor Wynn and Jason DeJiacomo shot a 4-over 76 for 60th place, and Will Jones shot a 6-over 78, and is tied for 82nd.

Sam Curtis of Calhoun shot a 3-over 75 for 42nd place.

The tournament continues through Sunday.
