A homemade black trailer that contained two lawn mowers and other items was stolen from a North Broad Street auto lot, according to Rome police reports.

According to the reports:

An employee of York Auto Sales, 1814 N. Broad St., told police that the trailer was taken sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and when he arrived at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Someone had cut the lock off of the trailer and pulled it through the lot and out of the lot next door.

On the trailer was a Scott’s riding mower, a Flo Mo push mower, a Billy Goat vacuum cleaner and a moped. The combined value of the items and the trailer is approximately $1,000.

No suspects were named.
