Rome Police responded to a call on West 10th Street early Tuesday morning and spoke to a man who said another man had pointed a gun at him, according to Rome Police reports.

According to the report:

The victim was drinking beer with three men in a room at the Scottish Inn, located at 1105 Martha Berry Blvd., when they all got in a car and left to purchase more beer from a “bootlegger.”

After the victim bought the beer, one of the suspects drove to a house on West 10th Street where the three men went inside with the beer and closed the door. When the victim knocked on the door to get in, one of the suspects opened the door and pointed a pistol at his face.

The victim ran down the street and called 911. Police at the scene were unable to locate the suspects. The beer was valued at approximately $40.
