Want to make a child smile? We’ve got an easy way you can help.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Santa is collecting new toys that we’ll distribute to Floyd county youth who are enduring difficult challenges and circumstances in their young lives. Past help may not be here this year, and we would like to appeal to you to donate a new unwrapped toy.

When you’re out and about this weekend or next week at a local store, drop by the toy section and pick up some games, toys, dolls or balls. It’s an affordable way to help children in our community.

You can drop items by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office at 3 Government Plaza or by the Floyd County Jail 2526 Calhoun Highway in the records lobby Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., December 3 - December 14, 2012.

Christmas is right around the corner, so please help us spread a bit of Christmas joy to lots of children in need.

Your help is crucial and very beneficial in our effort to provide Christmas and meet the needs of families experiencing hardships during the Christmas Season. Thank you and best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season!
