CEDARTOWN — Public works employees and firefighters began putting up Christmas decorations Tuesday in the downtown area. Christmas lights and more decorations will be added during the next couple of weeks.

The city plans a Christmas tree lighting ceremony downtown on Nov. 29. The Cedartown High band will perform Christmas songs beginning at 6 p.m. as a choir sings. The tree will be lighted at about 7 p.m.
