A Cartersville man was charged on Saturday with a felony count of theft by deception, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Jesse Daniel Thacker, 34, of 212 Law Road, was charged after he allegedly sold a tension meter that was the property of the Georgia Department of Transportation to a pawnshop on Shorter Avenue.
