An Armuchee man was booked into Floyd County Jail Monday on charges that he left the scene of a wreck and had drugs with him, according to jail reports.

According to the report:

Jeffery Michael Battles, 35, of 104 Grant Road, Armuchee, was involved in a wreck at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Burnett Ferry Road on July 3 and left without providing any information to the other driver involved.

He was driving a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle and had methamphetamine.

Battles was charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute as well as misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an accident, no proof of motorcycle insurance, driving with an expired tag and driving without a license.

He remained in jail Monday night without bond.
