Monday's weather: Early showers and thunderstorms - .50 inches of rain so far today

More rain today with showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3 p.m. then a chance of showers later in the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Today's high will reach near 64 with new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch expected, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. As of 3 p.m. Floyd County has received .50 inches of rain according to the rain gauge at Richard B. Russell regional airport.

Tonight there is a 10 percent chance of showers before 7 p.m. with mostly partly cloudy skies and a low around 41.

Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
